How the day runs

Mariya's verdict. Book the location before the guests. Changing a date is easy, changing a permit is not.

Twelve minutes

A show runs for about twelve minutes and nothing repeats.

The position is agreed with the producer, because two photographers cannot share the end of the runway.

Backstage before the doors open is where the story is, and it is the part most shows forget to book.

The order matters more than the length. A shoot that starts in the wrong place never catches up.

What you need to arrange

A position agreed with the producer before the day.

The running order of looks.

Access to backstage before doors, in writing.

What the images are for: press, lookbook or social.

What usually goes wrong

Two photographers promised the same position.

Backstage access that turns out to mean after the show.

No look list, so the edit cannot be put in order.

Lighting that changes between looks without warning.

What arrives afterwards

Runway looks in order.

Backstage coverage.

Guest and front-of-house frames for a press office.
